Hey guys my gfs tank her ph went up way high like off the charts high corals not opening, i know wat caused the spike and we removed it dont ask me to explain, I added a few drops of vinager to her tank every thirty min to bring it down slowly i got it back down but now its a bit low but not off the charts its around 7.4, i added a air stone and now i have a 5 gal water change mixing.
Its a 55 gal tank. Some monti caps have turned white and leather is not opening and is shedding and drooping, I am getting the frogspawn open and a few types of zoas are opening but not all of them. Wat should my next step be?

Personally, I just let my Ph do whatever it wants. Chasing Ph to correct it can really mess up other parms of your tank. I say if it's not in the 6's or 9's then leave it be.

Agreed Lee, i wouldnt be swinging it from extremely high to low so quickly. just to resolve the issue. If it were me, id do a 30 - 40 percent water change and then watch it for a week and keep on with weekly water changes until comes back down into a reasonable range.

I agree with the above, as long as your KH, Mag and calcium are WNL.

1) good you know what caused it and removed that.

2) I would recommend a larger water change if you can

You need to reset the ionic balance in your tank. Best way to do that is large water change-IMO.
I would recommend 15-20 gal (25-35% by volume).
