PH Reading Problem

In my tank the PH reading is going nuts (9-11.5ph). Inside calib packets the reading is fine. If I dip some water out of the tank into a container and measure, it is fine. Only when it is in the tank do I have problem. Is this a stray voltage issue or something else?

Found it. One of my Koralias was putting voltage in the tank. Thank goodness for ground probes and my new Rk2 software that sent me the email telling me all hell broke loose in the tank. I think it has been shorting on/off and I just wasn't seeing it because I don't sit in front of the RK2 all day.

Working on the link now, one moment.

Since some folks were trying to sell these prior to the meeting, I didn't feel that I should start blasting this all over the site, but they seem to be having shorting problems and it appears that all 2's and 3's have been recalled.
I did a search prior to picking one up at the meeting and I found all this info.

Cameron if you confirm the recall, can you post a thread with the details here? I was seriously looking at picking one up, but I was waiting to here more details about this.

Hello,

Hydor USA has asked it's dealers to return any unshipped Koralia #2 & #3 to Hydor USA for inspection.

The issue is nonspecific and is being handled by Hydor USA directly with it's dealers and distributors.

As with any Hydor product, the 2-year warranty fully applies. If you experience any problems with your Hydor product, please return to us for warranty inspection. Hydor should have new stock of the Koralia #2 & #3 by the end of this month (March 2007).

Hydor follows the Internet closely and is not aware of any 'growing' concern. If you wish us to address these concerns specifically, please advise us of what Internet sites are requesting information from Hydor USA, and we will gladly attempt to resolve any concerns.

Sincerely,

Hydor USA, Inc.

Well, after reading about the Nanostream issues, I'm sticking with my Hydors. Those trashy clips on the Nanostreams really are poorly built.

We'll call that a 1/2 hijack.

My 4s are rock solid, but both 2s shorted which seems to me to be a design flaw in there design. I am probably going to toss them and not deal with the hassle. I was planning on a a closed loop anyway so this is just going to speed that up.

Send them bak and get them fix. I'll buy it off you after all said and done.
