pH tester recommendation

I currently test pH with an API high range pH test kit. I have trouble distinguishing the colors. Most of the time the color I get looks vaguely like a color on the card, but then it looks vaguely like two different colors that are not even next to each other.

I need a test kit that has easier to distinguish colors or something like a red sea titration type test. I do not have a controller so I cannot use a probe. Also I read that probes can be inaccurate and would rather go with a test kit right now.

Any suggestions?

Buy a Hanna Instruments Ph tester, HI98128, and skip the test kit if you feel like you relly need to know the exact Ph.

I purchased a Ph meter from a hydroponics store. Works like a charm and was about $35.

Test kits stink. If you're coming to the meeting I'll sell you a Pinpoint PH Monitor for $30

Peppers, tomatoes and I even tried pumpkins. The pumpkin plant had to be terminated because it was taking over my house.
