I was reading in the tank of the month section on reefcentral and they winner mentioned something about his tank going down and right before that he had a bad outbreak of algae caused by leaving his phosphate absorber in his system for too long.
Is this true?
How long is too long?
Say you did leave it in too long and you had a HUGE algea explosion and you removed your phosban, about how long before you should start seeing the algea bloom die off?
Im planning a water change this weekend but wont that just introduce more phosphates into the system with the new water?
Im in the works of getting a RODI setup but it wont be this weekend.
advice? wisdom?
