Have a large bioload for 29g biocube between fish and corals. Have been using chemipure elite and 20-25% water changes weekly. For the cost of chemipure elite, I figured I would invest in reactor instead. Wanted to see if others agree or better suggestions. Thanks in advance.

I've been using biopellets in a phosban reactor for a few months now. I'm not very happy with the performance. I'm using a sicce silent 2.0 (500 + gph) and can't get the pellets to tumble all around. Only one side. That pump is way over what is recommended and I'm running it with no restriction. So, no, I recommend you don't use a phosban reactor for this application.

Also, the problem I described isn't the flow channeling through one side due to too much flow. I've used a mj1200 and it was the same. I think it's just not designed for biopellets and the screens to adapt it don't really work.
