ok..I want to try to grow my own phytoplankton..but im not sure ive got this right..Read up on tims stuff about it..

so this is how i see it

1. get a coke bottle and fill it with salt water at 1.019 SL.
2. Drill a hole in the cap and run airline into it with an airstone
3. get a regular light from an old fish tank
4. take some phyto and introduce it?
now can i take that phyto from a fresh bottle and introduce it or what?
Im some what confused

You will need more than one coke bottle. Once one is dark green, you'll split it into two, and refill the other half of both with more of the saltwater. You'll also need to add fertilizer in order to sustain the phyto. Once you have a few bottles going, you can use the phyto that you would split to create a new bottle to feed, and just refill as mentioned above. It sounds more complicated than it is. Check out the list of links in the marinebreeder link below.

Lowes have 24" 6500k ($7) with flouresent housings ($12).

I have 2 lights between 6 bottles and they breed like a banchie!!!

I have no idea. All the research (images and text) I have found refers to 6.5k.

I think the more important parts are the air flow and food.
