I recently bought several corals for my 24G AP from Steven and thought I would post some pictures. The ricordias were all bought about six weeks ago. The green ricordia florida started as a rock with just two and I have split it into five separate ones. While I was splitting them apart I found the baby one underneath. It has a mouth and three rows of tentacles. Hopefully it will grow and attach to the rock I have it banded to. The blue one up higher has three mouths and looks like it may split on its own. The orange one has doubled in size since I got it. Unfortunately the pictures don't do justice to the actual colors.

The largest green zoo I bought at the same time I got the ricordia and the others I just got last week. I hate the look of the epoxy but hopefully it will all get covered over. My goal is to have the rock they are surrounding end up totally covered with various zoos.

Let me know if you have any better ways to get them attached and started.

What I do to get all of my Mushrooms attatched is get a small plastic container and put some Live Sand at the bottom, and then throw some LR in and then the Shrooms, and then rubber band Bridal Vail around the top. Works every time!

Thanks, Bryan I've used that method as well. The baby one I ended up taking out of the dish just last night because food kept falling into it and I didn't want to leave it in there to decay.

They should be treated just like mushrooms. The best way is to get a sharp scissors or razor blade and cut right down the middle. Make sure to get a piece of the mouth in each frag. I have made 100's of frags like this and to be honest I don't always get a piece of the mouth in each cut. Its impossible. They will do fine even without a mouth. They will just take longer to re grow because they now also have to worry about getting another mouth. Hope this helps.

I really need to grab a picture of those new guys to throw on the website.
Pretty soon you'll be catching up to me with the ricordea from the sound of it. :)

Ha! Good eyes, she was pretty well hidden. She is the only fish I have in there at the moment and she seems to be hosting the locline spraybar. It's like her own personal spa. Here she is in all her glory.

Hey. I really like that orange one you got there. Want to sell it or trade it for another kind of Ricordia? Or SPS?:D

Can't trade the purple orange mouth one or the pink one. everything else is good.

Wow! You have some nice ones there. Sorry, That's the smallest one I have and my favorite so I want to hang on to it. It seems to be growing pretty good though so I may get up the nerve to try to frag it at some point in the future.
