I have read that bristle worms do not hurt anything but honestly when I drop in flakes to feed the fish pink bristle worms of every size appear. Is this normal? AND does anyone know if there is any live stock I could purchase to curb this less than attractive situation? Bubba

I've read that bristle worms are self limiting, so that they can only grow in numbers if there is food for them to do it. They may not look good at feeding time but they are very beneficial in cleaning up all the leftovers and anything else that ever dies in your tank.

Thank you and if your are the one pictured in your icon....Thanks for your service...if it is a family member, pass it on. Bubba

If you see bristleworms at feeding time and the lights are on its because they are starving and are in search of food. Looks like they have cleaned up what they can and are looking for more..they wont harm anything unless you touch them and as long as they are small Id just keep truckin.
