pinkish red layer forming on bottom of sand bed

I do not have red algae on any of the rocks that I can see but this reddish layer is forming on the bottom of the sanded. Pretty...but what is it and do I need to do anything about it? Bubba

its bga suck the red off of the sand just run your hose right above the sand

It is not on the sand it is at the very bottom of the tank under the sand.

cyno...lol...it's pretty....

if it doesn't spread up on the sandbed, not a big deal.....just suck it up now and then or take a net as it is only near the glass when it's under the bed....

sandbed is larger granule and I can see it climbing up the glass from the front. I have some chemclean for red slime bacteria if it is cyno should I use that? Thanks for the replies. Bubba
