Pistol shrimp question

Hi all,

I recently bought a tiger pistol shrimp to pair with my Randall's goby. So, the problem is this.
The goby was in the tank before the shrimp.
After acclimating the shrimp to my tank, when it came time to put him in, he fell straight into a very proud live rock with many caves. I haven't seen him since then.

My question is this.
Will he be fine in a live rock without pairing up with his goby? If yes, how do I ensure that he is alright?

I purposely drop a few pieces of food directly into the live rock where he fell in, is there anything else I need to do?

I really don't want to move the rock, as there is a bunch of coral stuck into it.

Any help/suggestions will be great!

Great questions! I have a couple of shrimp / goby pairs and I've found that they will eventually find each other. Keep doing what you doing by feeding your pistol and everything will work out in the end. :)

Agree with Brett... mine have always found each other although it has often taken several weeks. The shrimp will find the food and the goby will find the shrimp .... eventually!

No need to worry. I've had a pistol shrimp without a goby for 3 years now.
