Pistol stole my frag

I have a Pistol/Goby pair that have tunnels all around my rockwork. Well I got a Favia frag at Rits a week or so ago, went to my tank last night and noticed it was 'gone'. I assumed that something just covered it with sand so I dug around but it wasn't there. So, I started digging around the edges of one of the Pistol entrances and sure enough there was the frag, buried about halfway down in the hole. Luckily the color was still good so I assumed he had just done it in the past 12 hours or so.

Anyway, thought is was funny. I knew that they would pull in old shells to use as barricades, but I assumed a frag plug was too heavy...guess not.

I feel your pain. I have a rather large pistol and a goby that first started out in the biocube. I learned the hard way that the pair would not be a good combination for the newly purchased reef tank when the pistol decided to cover the plate coral with sand. Needless to say the pistol and the goby are currently in a mini-reef tank by themselves while the other fish were upgraded to the reef tank. Not only am I afraid that the pistol will cover things up, but I am also afraid to add the pistol to the reef tank because I think he might cause a rock slide from removing sand from under the rocks.
