Hi everyone,

I am itching to upgrade my lights from 2x96 PC to something more visually pleasing, and to hopefully move into SPS and LPS. I found a MH retro kit on reefgeek that I am interested in getting.

[I]And I would like to include some VHO's to supplement. If anyone has some 36" VHO's or HO's lying around, Im interested.</em>

Does anyone have experience with this kit?? Good price for the product, etc.?

I have the resources to build a canopy to house these lights and have sketched up a basic design (I have little experience with designing a canopy but I understand the basics of what is involved).

I am looking for feedback from those who have built their own canopy to give me some things to consider and some tips to make the project a little easier.
I hope the pic works.

The kink you are showing is for a complete pendant setup not a retro fit.

I think alot of people here will agree with me...you can find ways to do it alot cheaper.

SO many options......Im sorry for switching gears so fast, but Loren W. made a good point about going cheap. I was confused on the pendant vs. retrofit anyway, (and Hanging the light is not an option) so now Im thinking of scrapping the canopy idea all together.

I found another option that fits my budget and seems to be a good deal up front.

I think, with my setup, this is a much easier and more efficient option.
Does anyone have a Sunpod? I like the fact that they include mounting brackets......and the LED lights on separate plugs.

you could do this: http://www.reefopticslighting.com/reflector.html">http://www.reefopticslighting.com/reflector.html</a>
and this: [IMG]http://www.buylighting.com/250-Watt-Metal-Halide-Ballast-Kit-Five-Tap-p/b250-mh-5.htm">http://www.buylighting.com/250-Watt-Metal-Halide-Ballast-Kit-Five-Tap-p/b250-mh-5.htm</a>

and your under 100 bucks per light less bulb

I have three of these on my setup.
