Still may want to. Based on the research they do not know the repercussions, just they do it. Incredibly interesting.
 
I wonder what has happen to all the plastic garbage we have dumped into the oceans over the last 50+years?:D I wonder what they would find in our bodies if they were looking for it?:D

If they are eating to a negitive repercussion I think some of the principal thinking and manufacturing as well as use of the everyday items currently accepted. Wear and tear and breakdown would be a concern on everything from impellers, PVC to silicone along tank seams.

Now obviously these items are certainly not dirextly detrimental in our controlled systems. But could be a missing step to provide better reefkeeping.

Or its the other direction and we must provide them withoee plastics. May be even able to justify the aquatic community as the savior of global warming by riding the world of plastic pollution... One dose at a time.
