So went and bought a 46gallon bowfront today got it home started taking the sand out and noticed the bottom has a crack in the bottom check out the pics. Did i just waste my money on this? Where is a good place to get another 46bow for good price. i got this one and stand and new aqua c remora skimmer and 36" PC lights for $225. O and like 90lbs of live rock. So i guess i kinda didnt waste too much money huh.

You sure it's not just silicon? It says tempered, so it would be fully busted if it was cracked.

it held water fine and was filled to the top all 46 gallons before i moved it from the guys house today.

That is strange. It looks like a crack. There is a tempered sticker and I have never seen tempered actually crack without breaking in a thousand pieces unless it was laminated like a windshield

I would definatly not use the tank. unless its a scratch or silicone like stated above.

hmm, it does almost look like silicone. if it is a crack, couldnt you just put silicone over and under it? seal it up.

If it is crack its gotta meen its not tempered and I would still not use it. most glass tanks are not supported in the center. The crack would jeopardize the ability of the glass to support the weight of everything. The more I look at it it does look like silicone

just put water in it half way and sit it out side and see if it will hold water now you might have remoned some sand from the crack if it is and that why it was holding water

Great news it is just SILICONE !!!!!!!!
Had to break out a flash light and get really close but scraped it and it went away wow im stoked now
