Fairly new to saltwater tanks and found this. I think it is an aiptasia, can anyone please positively id it for me. Sorry if photos aren't very good, was taken on my phone. Thanks

aiptasia, if it's easy to get to and nothing on that rock, I'd bake that rock if it hasn't already spread.
 
If i had to guess, that's exactly what I would guess :)

Lift the rock out and torch him, if you use the silicone and he senses you harming him...... you'll have a hundred of them
 
thank you heath, since that is the only one I will torch him, after torching should I rinse area he was at to remove anything left of it, or woul it be safe to put right back in tank?
 
if you would like two tooth brush it out and rince it with old tank water....go for it.
just make sure you get in with the torch good....lol
 
Use reef napalm. It is a 100% kill for aptasia. Look it up on the forums. Safe if used correctly. BOOM
 
ok, just torched aiptasia. used a flat hed screwdriver to carefully remove some of the rock so I could get to the remains. rinsed off rock and triple checked to make sure nothing was left behind. I hope I don't have to do that again.
