please identify this coral

Purchased this coral on the left from LFS the other day. They suggested to me that it was some sort of brain coral, but in my search on the web I have not found a brain coral that looks like this.
Also the next morning after making the purchase, it has a big white spot on the edge as if one of my shrimp had eaten a small section. I do not believe that it is spreading. You can see the big white missing section on the first blurry picture. Thoughts?

Looks like a favia with tissue recession. Notice the empty pockets below the tissue.
 
No, I think at some point some tissue on it died. It doesn't look like 'recent' death so I'm sure it will be fine, and it may regrow new skeleton and polyps over the old.

The little mollusk looks alive to me - shell is shut, it may open a crack to feed etc., and that's fine - it won't harm the coral.
