Googled it and you are correct. Thank Tou.

Although I am using RO exclusively and after over a year these things appear. Filters changed a few months ago.

I think they are harmless so I wont worry about it.

Its a pineapple sponge! They are great filters and completely normal.

Oh yeah. All the cool people have pineapple sponges. My over flows are loaded.
