I thought they were “good” snails but they’re getting bigger and more prolific, I’ve got 4 or more of them running around in the daylight. The file fish and African Blue stripe cleaner wrasse nip at them. Are they good pest or bad? Friend or foe....? Inquiring minds need to know :D:D The slug looking things on the glass brush, in the corner above the rock and the slug side on the front glass I can’t remember what Shawn told me he thinks they are but they’re growing6A1A57D2-5218-4721-94A8-8C1FB3B22853.jpeg5FE54AA2-4A3D-4A83-A102-658526BBA70D.jpegE0966A11-8A07-42D4-9B38-6F6252985871.jpegCFCAF66C-CCD3-4A7F-A96B-137A182F6D0F.jpeg

Im pretty sure those are spirorbid worms not stomellas. They are harmless filter feeders really more of a nuisance than anything

Not the spirals the slug things. They kinda blend into the color of the algae scraper

yeah those are stomatellas. What usually happens is they breed out of control and then the whole population collapses and they disappear. Theyre beneficial and very good algae eaters

My population hasn't disappeared, but it's definitely gone down, especially since my troccus snails started breeding. Stomatella was one of my very first hitchhikers from a piece of live rock :D
