Plumbing help

Need some help trying to plumb the return for the tank, the three-quarter inch fitting is too small and The hose simply slides in and is not secure to the 1”

The plastic band clamp is also too large

Sorry in advance if this sounds confusing, but what you can do is go get a smaller diameter hose that's fits over the firing then slide the larger hose over that hose. So in essence you will have two hoses on there and then secure them with a house clamp. That is what worked for me. Ace is the prefect place to go, when you need help with small issues like this especially if they have a good person helping. We have an older gentleman named Mr. Charlie probably near 70 years old! Good luck!

That makes perfect sense. Wont the metal hose clamp corrode with the saltwater or do I use the plastic larger one provided? Also do you think some sort od heat-shrink-tubing would work over the fitting as the smaller hose?
 
Yes, never use metal clamps. The larger one provided should work, because you'll be using the same outer hose. I'm not sure on that one honestly, I just used regular braided tubing but I wouldn't imagine it not working.
