Below is my sump. First of all thanks to Mark (Flying Army) for all of his help so far. He is on vacation I believe. My initial plan was to use 1.25 PVC (That is what fits the drain bulkhead) all the way to the first section where the egg crate shelf is on the sump. Is that the best way to do it? Should I put a check valve or anything in between to control the drain flow? My second thought was to bring out a small piece of PVC from the drain bulkhead and then get a reducer piece with a barbed end and use flexible hose to drain the rest of the way to the first section. Thoughts?
