Actually you would be surprised to know how much $$$ all of that plumbing costs. It really can add up. :)

cool--I wish my plumbing were as neat as that (for all those pipes)

Funny how one can start to believe anything if it's heard often enough...
Do you have a mantra for those who are in the process of becoming geeks? If so, I would really like to learn it, as I am well on my way!

That plumbing is intimidating! I do aspire to one day look at a set-up like it and think, "No biggie!"

Wow that is some serious overkill. I thought I had gone nuts with my setup lately. Sadly had I the room, I probably wouldn't be far behind.

i keep looking at it and i just cant get over how much it would cost to run a system like that.

- friend watching over tank

"Oh crap which valve was it that I was supposed to turn off  "

But when you start a large tank and start plumbing up fuges, a sump or two, holding tanks, CL's, that plumbing becomes necessary. It doesn't take long.

And as justonemoretank mentioned - that plumbing is expensive! He probably has $500 in plumbing in that setup!

I bet more than that. Just looking at the unions, ball valves and gate valves. The size of the plumbing he used also a big chunk of it looks like spaflex. I think $500 is conservative.
