hey guys i got a pod pack today and itis 1000 copapods and 1000 amphipods anyway i was thinking of putting some in my sump and make a refugium as best as i can around my return pump anyway... my return pump has a foam filter on it so i was wondering do i need to take it off ?? also the return pump is mag 9.5

No, Man. LOL... Not around the return pump. They'll get sucked into the pump, and a good bit of them will get ground up in the pump. Those that don't get sucked into the pump will end up shot into the tank.

If you set up a refugium, separate it from the pump with a couple of baffles. Some will still make it to the pump, but you will keep more of them from being ground up.

I added mine to the DT at night with all of the powerheads off. A good bit of them still made it to the sump, and settled into my first section where I have some leftover LR...

okay lol well i made a mistake then haha... one i put them in there.. just what was left onthe sponges and i also use a filter sock in the first section so now what lol

Lolz. Some pods will end up in your filter sock if they survived the return pump and float around in your DT. Just set up your fuge in the filter sock section if its separated from your return and you'll be alright.
