I started a thread to gauge interest in a test kit group buy. It would help to know which brand is more popular. If your favorite is not in the list please comment. Also list which testers you need.

Thank you

Interesting results so far. Years ago everybody online said, "Salifert Salifert Salifert" so I jumped through hoops to bring them in.

Most of them expired on the shelf. Needless to say, I didn't re-stock them.

They weren't any more expensive than Seachem which I've carried and used for years. So I quit stocking them. They are easier to get nowadays (more distribution sources), and they do tend to be a bit more expensive.

And it's not like people passed them over in favor of the el-cheapo API kit in my shop because I don't carry API.

Fascinating.

Yeah, I've been to three of our sponsor stores and haven't seen a Salifert kit once... Seachem on the other hand is everywhere...

If you want Salifert test kits, Keen Reef has them all in stock. He had an awesome selection the last time I was in there 3 weeks ago...

I have a full line of Salifert in stock, great prices too.

I sell probably around 50+ of these a month. I had a guy from Florida order 15 Flatworm exits because my price was lower than his local wholesaler! :)

Tim

Edit: This weekend for the Anniversary sale they are 10% off as well!

Has anyone here ever used Tetra Brand Test Kits? I used their FW line for years and always liked it.

They make a full line of SW kits as well, and they are reasonably priced. I don't see them for sale anywhere around here.

Check with Pure Reef. His store in Augusta carries them and use them to test customers water. They also carry Salifert in Augusta.
