I religiously dip my new corals, and I want clarification on what I'm 90% certain is a zoa spider.

Luckily caught it before it got into my system. For all the googlers out there, does Melafix kill zoa spiders? Yes.

Looked a bit like a colonial hydroid to me.

Never seen/heard of a zoa spider before. What is it?

Edit: I let Google do the walking. Interesting. Never have seen or heard of those before but I found articles dating back 10 years.

I've had the hydroids before, and this is one of the circumstances where the camera just couldn't convey what I was looking at as well as reality. I'm not 100% on the spider, but it did move, then die, and from what I remember on the hydroids they kind of just flap around.
