Powerhead question...

Setting up the 30"x30" cube - is the VorTech MP-40 too strong for the tank - or would we be better with 2- MP-10s. Our return pump is an 1800 gph unit with an 1100-1200 gph retun (pumping it back up between 3-4')?

Mp40 should be good to go. You could turn it down if you think it's too much flow. I had mp40 in my 60 gallons before, and it worked just fine.

What about placement? Since there is so much power from the returns, should I place the powerhead lower in the tank?
