Indeed! I let my roommate do the job for me once (and only once!)
Even though I told him not to do any water change and only add the water I placed on the table (and even labeled which bucket was for what day!) he still drained out 5 gal each time. Thankfully it was only for a week and I keep my tank at 1.025 so it stayed in a safe range.
