Since I treated my tank a little over a week ago I have not been able to run the skimmer right. No matter what I do the cup is full in a couple of minutes. I have done an additional water changes and no change. Any ideas from the skimmer gods?

first, is it modded? dial it down. if it's not modded, move your return up (or is it down), until it slows down enough. Get some carbon in your tank through a fluidized reactor or canister filter, or at least in a bag in a major flow area. replace every few days. more water changes will help, too. try a bunch of poly filters, too!

what are you trying to get out?

On my ASM if the side @1" tube is set to high it fills the cup quickly. Lower it down and monitor it for a couple days you'll eventually get it where it needs to be.

Yes it was with melafix. I do not have any filter on the tank. So I will have to pick up a pre pack carbon bag and will give it a try tomorrow. I have adjusted the stand pipe up and down and nothing works. I now looks like a bubble bath in the sump.

Try lowering it as far down as it will go. Keep it there for now. Also, let the cup fill up about five or six times and empty it. Add salt water to replenish. Do that a couple of times a day. Get a bunch of carbon. Just get a filter sock and get a big jug if marineland carbon. It'll be cheaper. You'll have some for the future, too.
