So, I was out on a business trip for like 5days and had to leave the tank (pretty much unsupervised - Erifc came to feed it twice).
Returning last night late from NY I noticed that a familiar sound wasn't there when I entered the basement.
My 90-gal frag system lost powere due to a tripped GFCI (culprit seems to be the CL pump).
The tank was about half empty and the sump shorlty before overflowing - (apparently one overflow box has a slight leak).
My PC4 controlling lights and heaters is in another GFCI and stayed on, the pumps all turned off when the GFCO tripped.
Long story short,
the tank got to 72F and the sump to 84F in the far end and 93F in the heater section. Basically the probe fell dry and let the heater stay on. With no flow between them it got VERY hot...
I didn't see any casualties last night - but pretty sure 1" of water and a 250W halide on for 7hrs will take its toll.
The entire room smelled like ammonia from the rock that fell dry.
Let's see what the status is tonight when I get home
