Protein Skimmer Help

I finished the construction of a canopy for my 29 gallon and tested the fit before staining. I realized the aqua C remora hang on blocks the fit! I was aorried this might happen, but the plan was to build a sump/refugium at the same time to hopefully move the skimmer below. I have two questions:

1. Can I somehow incorporate the remora in the sump?

2. Am I better off getting a new skimmer for the sump? (Anyone have a suitable in sump skimmer for sale?)

You might could hang the remora skimmer off the back of the sump. I'm not too familiar with these skimmers, so I don't know if they would work with the lower water level of a sump. I was able to do this with a Coralife skimmer, however. I liked the fact that it didn't take up prescious room in the sump.

I would likely sell the Remora and buy a more sump worthy skimmer personally. Maybe you can trade someone your Remora for their Urchin.
