Protien Skimmer Recommendation

sump should be lower than the tank...

I have a between wall aquarium that utilize overflow box and remote sump. space was and is a persistent issue, but a remote sump can alleviate the problem. if you ever in the alpharetta area, come by and I will show you.

There is no gravity involved, so I'd have to have a closed loop system or else there would be a problem with siphon since the sump will be lower than the tank.

Luckily, I have another tank to set up that is convential (sump below tank). This one in the wall will not have very many fish. Just a few with some live rock. The other tank is a 180 that I will have more fish in. The tank in the wall is my challenge. I found an Eheim Canister / Wet Dry filter. Looks like a good option, but no option for protien skimmer.

You can even run two canisters in sequence (output of one to input of the other) so you can run more varied media. I don't think you'll need a protein skimmer if you've got good mechanical filtration and you keep up on the maintenance of the canister filters.

That sounds like a good idea, Thanks!!
