Any opinions of JEBO Skimmers? They seem to be in my price range therefore I'm nervous about them.

LOL and should be... I wuld put the on par with a seaclone... Don't waste the money.. get a used skimmer of a much better nature here of kust a few bucks more then you would waste on that JEBO. A skimmer is something that you do not want to skimp on...

Look for a good used skimmer as Brandon said. Jebos and the like will only be money wasted since you will probably have to go find one somewhere else at some point.

Here read these two thing:

$50- $75, which obvious means I had no idea what a good skimmer would cost

I suppose I will save my pennies and not increase my bioload for a while. I really appreciate all the support this site and it's members have to offer.

Yeh $50 -75 is not much to work with.I dont even think you can find a Prizm skimmer for that much new?I would be looking to spend atleast $2-300 for a decent skimmer.Or just stay on top of water changes and not worry about a skimmer.

Hey krusty... Do you have a skimmer right now? Umm keep you eyes open. I got my Turboflotor 1000 multi (about $225 retail) on here used for $90. If you need a skimmer to by, I might have one you can borrow. It will be cheap but it will work for the meantime while you are saving pennies!

Depending on the size and bio load of your tank, there is nothing wrong with a Seaclone for doing a soft coral tank. They're not good enough to skim the way you'd need for SPS, but if you want to do clams or soft corals, I used one for years. The Candy Canes I have distributed by the fist-full through the ARC spent 4 years running with a Seaclone 150.

It's not a real good skimmer, but it's adequate as a starter in a soft coral setup on a small tank.

I really like the Coralife Super Skimmer. It produces ALOT of black waste in my 75 gallon. I would highly recommend it. They are also pretty cheap from Foster and Smith.

I haven't used a Super Skimmer from Coralife and don't know much about them, but one of our sponsers aquabuys.com has a low end one for $85 new.
