We didn't lose power this time around but it was really, really nice knowing that my generator was there if needed. The first 15 years of reefing I didn't have one and it has been one of the best purchases I've made for this hobby. Before I was pulling deep cycle batteries from my boat and running various inverters. It was a lot of work for very little power. Now I can run my tanks (flow & heat) and keep the fridge/freezer cold. Heck, the last time I was without power for a few days I plugged the cable modem in and watched youtube in the dark.
