Pump leaking!

Came home today to water in the basement... Noticed that my pump is leaking between the intake fittings - not where the PVC hits the pump but between 2 parts where black plastic meet black plastic on intake.

Anyone ever have this happen?

Anyone have a pump with sufficient gph at 16' head they don't want anymore?

You need like a Gen-x PCX-150 or an Iwaki 100RLT.... Check Reefcentral and see if you can find one used...


A Posiden PS4 or a Panworld 150PS or 200PS might work too... The posiden is going to be cheaper then the Pan World.

UPDATE: Have it over a bucket and it is not leaking nearly as bad - still cannot exactly pinpoint the cause - going to re-plum this tomorrow and see if I can get it straightened out. Meanwhile, I am still going to get a pump as a backup.

I have a PCX 40 that was using it to pump that high. I also have a PCX 150 too. I am in Suwanee.

would putting some silicone around it work? I have to that all the time with my mag pump......pieces of crap!
