I need something quiet that can pump around 2700 gph give or take. It will be about 4 feet from my head as I sit on the couch in the living room so the quieter the better. What do yall suggest?

That was the pump I suggested (albeit reluctantly - I'm not a CLS fan) when we spoke on Saturday.

Not a dart but Doug has a 2700 gph pump for sale:

Go with a dart. Anything else and you'll be dissapointed. You can safely throttle back the dart for less flow (and lower power consumption)

Closed loops are great if done correctly. Too many people don't take the time to do it right and end up with issues.

I ran one 6500 gph on my closed loop and it was quieter than the dart it replaced. You will need to check to see if it has the high abrasive seal that the company offers before installing in my opinion. The regular seal has a history of leaking eventually . I know where 10 of them are running right now with no problems. Check their warranty out as well.

I know that I am in the minority...but I still like and own the Quiet One. Got a nice deal from Jenn of I/O. Tim of Keen also has a nice and very affordable line of pumps.

The QO 9000 is still in the running too. I wish they had dB ratings on the pumps... It would help me a ton in finding something to suit my needs. I run a QO for my return and it has served me well.

My Q1 was a POS. Switched it out for a Mag pump and put it on salt mixing duty. Now it's failed at that, too...Wouldn't recommend to anyone or buy another. If it was free, I still wouldn't use it because of the hassle it would be to replace it later on when it breaks.
