Do you guys turn your pumps off while feeding? I do but I have to adjust the return everytime after I cut them back on.

Currently yes , but it's an all in one design. I can see how the answer will be no if I have to adjust valves.

Thanks, I don't feel so bad now! I get tired of adjusting that drain line especially late at night.
I usually see variances in return flow after power cycling when the pump is getting dirty. When was the last time you cleaned the impeller for the return pump?

Once a week I mix a cocktail of frozen food, reef roids, and aminos. And shut of my return for 30 to 40 min. But the other 6 days I don't turn anything off

Similar - only turn off the gyre when I'm direct feeding the corals, once a week. The fish pick off most of the large chunks in the water column.

Thank you guys for all the responses, I did a reset on my vectra pump this morning. I never reset it when I disconnected it from the reeflink, hopefully that will help with a steady flow. I'll clean it today also!

I turn off my return pump and skimmer every time I feed. I have then hooked up to a smart power strip. And then I've setup my Google home to turn them both off when I say "run feed mode". Then after 15 or so mins I say "turn return pump on" then after about a minute I say "turn skimmer on". I've never had an issue with having to re-tune my return.

Eventually I will have my "apex" finished where I will just tap on a button on the computer screen and it will turn off everything and turn everything back on as well.
