Purigen nor Chaetomorpha

Purigen or Chaetomorpha which is better at removing nitrates and phosphates?

I used purigen on my 5.5g tank and worked great. I was having a bit of algae issues and that cleared it right up.

Purigen removes organics, not phosphate/nitrate.

Phosguard removes phosphate.

Nitrates are best removed with regular water changes, but can also be removed biologically through a number of methods - from carbon dosing, GFO, biopellets, Denitrate, nitrate absorbing filter pads, etc. The best defense against nitrate is not letting it build up in the first place.
