Does anyone else have the problem of all the little purigen balls getting in your tank? I bought filter media bags and don't remember seeing a different in the mesh. Do they make tighter or looser mesh? I just took out the bags to soak in bleach to regenerate the media and those little balls are everyone floating around. Now that I have fish I wonder if they try to eat it will it harm them?

Use a smaller micron filter media bag

agreed or buy the purigen already in the bag. If you get a couple then they can be recharged while you using the other one

I always buy the 100mL bags and avoid this problem all together. I've recharged my Purigen pouches a number of times with no problems. If some of the Purigen did get into your system it won't be a problem. I've never had any released in my system per say but have read a number of threads where this happened and it was alright.
