Purple tangs are one of those fish that are available almost year round. If you try and buy one "out of season" they can be up to and over $100=150 if you can find one. However, if you buy them when they are in season, they can be had for less than $30 or $40. If you are thinking of getting one, I think now is the time. I just was notified that an on-line dealer I am registered with has them for less than that so if you want one, now and in the coming weeks is the time to be checking your LFS for some good deals on them...
