I have two t5 light strips from coralife that I got when I bought my tank and setup. My question is this. Each strip currently has 2 bulbs in each which consist of 1 10,000 K bulb and 1 Actinic bulb both of which are 28 watts each for a total of 56 watts per strip. Since I have no documentation or instructions for the strips, I was wondering if I can replace the 28 watt bulbs with maybe say two 56 watt bulbs for a total of 112 watts per strip. I am not sure if there is a wattage limit on the coralife strips. I cant seem to find the answer on the net. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I wouldn't think the ballast inside would power up a higher wattage bulb. It may, but it would still only burn at 28 X 2.

Like Danny said, you have a normal output fixture, and 54 watt 48" bulbs are high output. I don't think the ballast in your fixture will be able to fire the HO bulbs.
