question about turning dry rock to live rock.

ive seen quite a few tanks lately starting off with dryed out live rock. (marco rocks) example. whats the best way to get it live again .im thinking about ordering some from marco or from bulk reef suppy.

Just add in some live rock from your favorite LFS. "Seed" it. I seeded some with purple crap scraped form someones tank wall.

I did the same thing. I had dead live rock dry in the backyard for about half a year. I started with it two months ago and its starting to already change colors. I seeded it with live rock that had some coraline on it. I am surprised with the current results. I only used about 20lbs of live rock.
