Thinking about switching from my RKE to an APEX. I've never been real happy with the net module and lack of control from the web. :boo:

My question is about moonlights. Right now I'm running two of the digital aquatics pods over my 120 and I'm real happy with the light level. Each pod has two leds and the Apex have one led each but they are described as high intensity. How many Apex leds will I need? I am thinking of using three evenly spaced across the tank. The tanks footprint is 2'x4' and the lights will be about 12" off the surface.

Thanks in advance.

You may be able to use the DA pods with the apex but I'm not sure. I will say that the Neptune moon lights are very strong so you will only need 2-3 in my opinion. I had the moon lights but didn't care for the moonlight feature so I sol them and started using a cheap ikea led strip instead. I like the lights to come
On & go Off at a set time not with the moon cycles.

thanks alcatoe that's what I needed to hear. just ordered an apex system and lunar module with 3 leds.... can't wait :yay:
