I bought a leopard wrasse yesterday, i know there is a possibility it may not come out of the sand today, but how long should i wait before i start worrying?

Don't worry. It will come out. Sometimes they can stay buried for several days, likely coming out at night when you can't see them.

3-4 days up to a week...

A leopard not healthy, stressed, and not in a "proper peaceful leopard wrasse environment" may never come out....

My lady comes out in the am. Breakfast is around 8:30 and I leave around 10:00. I won't see here again until the next morning. She sleeps through dinner which is around 8:45

well, it just stuck its head out and is breathing very hard. i hope it does well, but it doesn't look like it's gonna make it. i was hoping i was going at least get to see it swim before it goes on.. :c

Dang. Those fish are a gamble. I'd been wanting to try one for years, but never wanted to risk buying a fish that isn't acclimated to an aquarium lifestyle.

Sorry for your loss, read my build thread for mucho tips on leopards...
