Hello ARC members! I am new to the club, but I have had my reef tank for about a year now. I started my reef tank with live rock and a green star polyp and some zoa's, unfortunately shortly after i had a major outbreak of GHA (green hair algae) and was at war for about 6 months. now i am back up and running and ready to start buying corals. About my tank:

29 gallon 30" x 18" x 12"
28lbs live rock
2 Hydro Koralia 240 gph
Deep Blue T5's
29 gallon sump
Coralife 65g protein skimmer

I want to upgrade my lighting to Metal Halides, my T5's fixture is crap. it gets realllllly hot and the bulbs are about a year old. i am thinking about getting a 250w bulb with a galaxy ballast. I dont know if 250w would be to much. like i said I have LPS and am planning on purchasing more so i know MH isnt totally a necessity right now but i do want to move into SPS soon. If anyone has some knowledge or thoughts on what i am thinking about, let me know. Also, whats the difference between the fish store Halide bulbs, and this one at http://www.atlantareefclub.org//http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1v/R-100119868/h_d2/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10053&langId=-1&keyword=metal+halide&storeId=10051#.UJXY4hiVVDE">Home Depot</a>?

Thanks!
