My stand is on the way from the carpenter that made it. Should I put any kind of pad, styro, or anything between the tank and stand? Thanks.

If the tank is acrylic, yes.

If the tank is glass, no.

Is your tank glass or acrylic? If it's glass does it have a plastic rim on the bottom?

I can't tell you about an acrylic tank, D, but for a glass tank, if there is plastic trim on the bottom edges of the tank glass, then no foam required. My Glass Cages 100 gallon glass cube is rimless with no plastic trim on the bottom, and Glass Cages says to put styro between the tank and the stand. Which I did when you helped me carry the thing to my basement 4 years ago or so!

This used to be my tank. It's a deep blue 120. Glass with plastic frame.

I wouldn't have answered without the info needed :)
