Quick t5 question

A better question may be if anyone is lighting a 72" tank with t5's What kind of setup are you using?

The ends of the tank would be a bit shady.

IMO you're better off ponying up for a 6' fixture. There aren't 6' lamps so you'd end up with 36" lamps, 4, 6 etc., on either side.

2 - 36" fixtures are awkward.

The downside of a 6' tank... lighting gets really pricey.

Thanks Jenn, and you're right lighting a 6ft tank definitely gets into your pockets a bit lol

If it was me would go with the 60" ATI. It's only 6" short on each side and I never have corals growing right up to the side glass of a tank, I usually leave 3-5" of space for cleaning purposes. Also consider how high you monut the fixture, the light will spread more the higher its mounted. Plus you will have less algae growing on the side glass. But like I said, if it was me...

That's what I was highly considering, I was wanting to go with an ATI fixture instead of an aquatic life fixture.
