So some of yall know I am pregnant.
Me and my husband went to a 3D ultrasound place last saturday, and it is a little girl.

I had got a 12 gallon nano from someone on here, & I was wondering if I could see pictures of yalls just to get an Idea of what to put in there.

I really want the tank set up in here room, But I want livestock that isnt too hard to care for. ( I mean with a new baby and all, I need something a little easy )

I just cant think of anything to put in there.
I want it to be really bright.

Any ideas.

( I am not looking to buy yet, Just trying to get a general Idea )

Thank a million :D

Yeah I was thinking of a Goby, But Wasnt quite sure which one.
How many fish do you think is okay to put in a 12 gallon?
I was thinking 3. Maybe a clownfish pair and Goby.
I Def. want mushrooms.
But in my tank, I havent had much Xenia growth.
It has stayed the same size for over a year.

What kind of lights does the nano have?

If it's PC's, definitely a softy tank with zoas, 'shrooms and ricordias. A clown pair would be my choice for fish, especially if you could find a pair to host a simple coral like a frogspawn or GSP. You'd have a colorful *garden* with plenty of movement.

For a 3rd fish, I'd go with a goby/shrimp pair.

Would an anemone Be ok in there?
I am not sure of how much wattage the light is I would have to look.

If you have MH or T5 lighting, a 'nem would be okay, IMO. If you put an anemone under PC's, you'll need to supplement feeding and maintain disciplined water changes. You could also easily have a tank crash if the 'nem croaks in that small an amount of water volume.

Depends on how much time you want to spend on tank maintenance.

The lighting is 56 watss PC.
Just the standerd lighting.

I love anemones. I have two carpets in my tank right now.
lol

But I think if they would host a frogspwan That would be cool.

So would a clownfish pair, a clown goby, and a shrimp all be ok in a little tank?

and thats yalls opinion on clownfish? which Should I go with?

What about a little mushroom waterfall type in there, On both sides. and in the middle have frogspawn, Hammers, candycane, And maybe an open Brain in the center sand bed? Would that look ok?

Also I am debating on whether I should use white or black sand. I have black sand In mine and I love it, But I also love th white too.

I have a pair of B&W Darwin clownfish in my nano along with a goby/pistol shrimp pair and a couple of pom-pom crabs. I like putting things in a small environment that you don't get to view as easily in a large tank where they simply just *disappear*. Other cool *small* fish are a clown gobies and firefish.

You can check out the *nano fish* suggestions at

Yeah I seen a ricordea waterfall on here one day and I thought it was so beautiful.
So I cant afford alot of ricordeas I am going to go with mushrooms lol

Thank you.
She is Due October 4th.

Her name is going to be Kaylen June.
I wanted something DIfferent, But cute.

Its funny because I never really wanted to do a tank in her room, Until my Husband told me that as soon as she gets her, my tank will be hers. lol

No Mommy needs something for herself.

I really like all three of these.
Which would yall go with?

Thanks alot. I dont know what I would do without the knowledge of people on here.
I just looked at the Pom pom crab. I really like it too.

So would I be ok with a Clown goby, Clownfish pair, Shrimp, && a pom pom Crab?

One more Question. The tank I have doesnt have any filter media in it.
What can I put in there?

Ok. The tank has a built in Filter, But no filter media, Could I use Bio balls and maybe a sponge?

ANd I love that little goby.
Man I am so excited about starting the tank.

I think I am going to Starting it in a week.
( after my husband paints the room )

Once again I really wanted to thank yall.
I have been in the hobby for a year now, and Yet I have so much to learn,
Thanks alot for not getting impatient with me.

I would also register @ that nano tank forum (link posted earlier) and start reading and asking questions there.

Nix the bio-ball idea for the nano-chamber. Consider instead live rock rubble, media bag of carbon and/or other filtration.
