Quiet Submersible Return Pump?

Need something that compares to a Mag 18 or so.....12 at the least....but much, much quieter?

does it exist? Are Quietones quiet? lol

I run a quiet-one (@1000 gph model). It's quiet and works flawlessly-uses much less juice than the mag counterpart did=less heat and less $$$

If the pump is going to stay on continuously, then you'll be fine. If it is going to be something that will run intermitantly, you may have issues.

I run a Quiet One 1200 as a utility pump, and just employed one as the pump to my frag tank. Work like a champ and much, much quieter than my Mag 18 return pump--but a big difference in flow. I don't know about the bigger Quiet One's....

Ocean Runner 6500 would be my choice for a larger submersible pump. It would definitely be quieter and more energy efficient than the Mag 18 and should produce pretty close to the output.

I should have made it one thread but I messed up so now it's two. Can someone merge them? The question now becomes whether I should use 2 pumps or one. I currently have the Mag 12. It's very loud, but I can deal with it if it means not having to buy a new pump.
