Quietone 5000 or 6000

Don't know what they where thinking when they made these with no rubber feet.Dose anyone have these pumps in there sump.Tell me how you did it.Thanks

I have 3-4000s and 1-5000 Quietones. I have used them with SCWD's for wave motion. The oldest one is about 4 years old. We have not had any problems with "no rubber feet", you can always use sound damping pads if it makes sounds.

Wood anyone know what type or name of pad that is safe.Heard of some horror stories about some not safe.

I bought one from Bulk Reef a few years ago for my Ocean Runner return pump.

I remember seeing an episode of BRStv where they talk about ways to quiet pumps, and show some pad options. Maybe search for it on YouTube.

I've got a peice of the black filter sponge squished under mine to secure it in place. It's worked fine for 6 months now.

Silicone pot holders are a great option as well. I'm running two right now but only had them in for a week or so.
