Radion RMS

Hi All,

I just got myself an early birthday gift.. a Radion XR30W pro I also got a RMS mounting system.

I have a 20" cube (35 gallon) tank. So the glass thickness isnt too much.

My only concern is that the RMS is fairly heavy, so do you think this will add additional stress to the side of the tank on which i am mounting it? i have major concerns with the total weight which will be hanging off of 1 spot on 1 side.

If someone has experience with these mounts, can you comment?

No experience with the rms, but why not hang the Radion from the ceiling?

I have vaulted ceilings in my apartment. Don't really have the flexibility to hang it.

The only other option is to build a canopy and fit the light in there.

i THINK there is a thing you can buy to make it fit thicker glass.

Hi snowmansnow, my aquarium is a small one.. I was just afraid that the rms might break the glass if I use it on my 35 gallon tank.. That's all.

A bracket on the wall behind the tank and hang it from that?

I have these mounted to my tank, 75G, its 1/4 inch glass - they aren't that heavy and I'm very careful not to bump them otherwise I think they might break the glass. How thick is your glass?
