Is there any way to do these with a standard router and router table? I am wanting to go with this style on my doors to the stand I'm making but only have a standard router.

Thanks Gents!

I do them with the table saw havent seen it done with a router but with a shaper which the price of the bit you could buy a tablesaw

tilt the blade to about 15 degrees and run them through on edge have to play with fence adjustment and height adjustment to get the look you want and maybe the angle a little i usually start at 15 and it is pretty close

i also have a piece of plywood i screw to the fnce to help hold the panels vertical while doing this it helps to have the taller fence

here is a way to do them with the curve to them on the table saw

Cool website! It appears if I wanted to make the raised panel that I was wanting I would have to have a lot bigger router. I have an old hand me down 1 1/4 hp Craftsmen router. I might just have to make the doors with out a raised panel. I still need to look into the table saw method. It isn't going to make the look I was after though I believe.

if you can post a pic of what you are wanting we may be able to tell you how to do it

I believe #8675 is going to give me what I'm looking for. Never done anything like this but it says that it has a 3.5" diameter so that would make a 1.75" cut if I'm understanding it. I don't know if that would give me enough room/material to install into the rail and stile.

Might just go with a 1/4" plywood panel instead of trying to do more than what I'm capable of with the raised panel.

I've made lots of raised panel doors with a simple router and router table. It takes a lot of setup time but it is not impossible. If you don't want to make them, there are people on the Internet (ebay and the like) that will make them for you.
